Well used as spices,they also have medicinal potency which can be used in treatment of many disease with reference of Ayurveda.

1. Seeds fomentation in chronic cough and Asthama
2. External application of its Fruit for Abdominal pain
3. For alcohol addicts, seeds given for chewing.
4. To prevent from foul odour of Eranda taila, Ajwain is used
5. Promotes digestion and increase appetite.

12. Pliha roga: Splenomegaly.
